Supported Devices
BetterTouchTool can drive macro pads directly from a floating menu: your menu items become the keys, knobs and touch strip of the device, with the same look and the same actions you already configure everywhere else.
This page lists the devices BetterTouchTool recognises.
Elgato Stream Deck
All Stream Deck models supported by BetterTouchTool's Stream Deck integration can also be used as macro pads, including the Stream Deck + with its knobs and touch strip.
Loupedeck and Razer Stream Controller
These devices were discontinued after Logitech acquired Loupedeck, and Loupedeck's own software dropped support for the Razer versions in 2026. BetterTouchTool drives them anyway.

On the Loupedeck Live and the Razer Stream Controller you get all of it: the 12 touch keys, both side touch strips, the 6 dials (turning and pressing) and the 8 round buttons.
The round buttons have no display, so an item placed on one lights it in the item's own colour instead of drawing on it.
To use the side strips, set an item's placement to LCD Strip — items fill the left strip from top to bottom, then the right one.
Loupedeck's own software and Logitech's plugin service claim the connection exclusively. If either is running, BetterTouchTool cannot talk to the device at all. Quit them first.
Loupedeck+ is a different device. It is screenless and behaves as a MIDI controller, so use BetterTouchTool's MIDI triggers for it instead. Note that "LD-2001" printed on the case belongs to the Loupedeck Live, not the Loupedeck+.
Very old firmware (0.2.5 and earlier) used a different display layout and is not supported. BetterTouchTool detects this and leaves the device alone rather than drawing garbage on it.
Logitech MX Creative Console
The console is two separate devices, and BetterTouchTool treats them differently.

The Keypad is a macro pad: its 9 keys show your menu items, exactly like a Stream
Deck. The two < and > buttons below the keys have no display, so set an item's
placement to Buttons Without Display to put actions on them.
Connect the Keypad with its USB cable — it cannot be driven over Bluetooth.
The Dialpad has no screens, so it is not a macro pad. It is configured under Logitech Mouse Support instead, where its four buttons can be made available for remapping and each of its two dials can be set to scroll or to trigger your own actions.
Quit Logi Options+ before using the Keypad. Logitech's software and its plugin service claim the device exclusively, and BetterTouchTool then cannot talk to it at all.
AJAZZ, Mirabox and related pads
Many of these pads are the same hardware sold under different brand names, so a device that isn't from AJAZZ or Mirabox may still work — look for your model in the lists below.

Tested on hardware. The three plain buttons and the three knobs have no displays; they work like any other item and simply can't show anything.

Pads with 15 keys and a side display strip
Tested on hardware (AKP153 rev. 2). Alongside the 15 keys these have a narrow LCD strip down the side, split into three segments. Place items on it by setting their placement to LCD Strip. The segments appear to be display-only — they show what you put there, but pressing them does nothing.

Not yet supported
- The older AJAZZ AKP153 / AKP153E / AKP153R and Mirabox HSV293S — the first hardware revision is recognised but not finished, and keys are likely to appear in the wrong order. The rev. 2 models listed above do work. If your AKP153 is detected but scrambled, you have a first-revision unit.
- Ulanzi D200 / D200H — a different kind of device that needs separate support.

Most of these pads are a handful of designs sold under many brand names, so it is worth searching this list for your exact model. Every name below is recognised by name and USB id; see the sections above for what each family can do.

What "Should work" means
The AJAZZ AKP05E, the AKP153 rev. 2, the AKP03/N3 family, the Loupedeck Live and the Razer Stream Controller have been tested on real hardware. The other pads use the same designs and are expected to work, but they haven't been confirmed yet — if you own one, feedback is very welcome.
My pad isn't listed or isn't detected
If your pad looks like one of the devices above but isn't picked up, it may be the same hardware with a different identifier. To report it:
- Open System Information (hold ⌥ and choose → System Information).
- Select USB in the sidebar and find your pad in the list.
- Note its Vendor ID and Product ID (for example
0x0300and0x3004), along with the exact product name.
Send those along with the brand and model, and support can usually be added.
My pad is the same hardware but isn't recognised
Most of these pads are a handful of designs sold under many brand names, so an unlisted device is usually one of the families above with a different identifier. You can register it yourself, without waiting for a new version.
Find the Vendor and Product ID as described above, then run this in Terminal (quit BetterTouchTool first), using the family your pad matches:

- The first two values are the Vendor ID and Product ID.
- The third is the family:
akp05(10 keys, 4 knobs, touch strip),akp03(6 keys, 3 buttons, 3 knobs),m18(15 keys, 3 buttons) orakp153(15 keys + side strip). If your pad is a newer revision tryakp153v3, and for older AKP03-style padsakp03v2. - The fourth is any name you like, shown in BetterTouchTool.
Start BetterTouchTool again and the pad should be listed. If it is detected but keys appear in the wrong order, it is a different family — try another one, and please report what worked so it can be added properly.
