Macro Pads
BetterTouchTool can drive a macro pad directly from a Floating Menu. Your menu items become the keys, knobs and displays of the device: the same items, the same styling and the same actions you already configure everywhere else.
Macro pad support is new and still evolving — some things are not possible yet and details may change between versions.
For Elgato Stream Decks, the established Stream Deck configuration remains available and fully supported. Both approaches exist side by side; a device is driven by one or the other, not both.
What you can do
- Use any Floating Menu item on a device key, with your own colors, icons, text, sizes and margins.
- Bind knobs to knob items, with separate actions for turning left, turning right, pressing, and turning while pressed.
- Place items on an LCD strip where the device has one.
- Page through more items than the device has keys.
- Open submenus on the device, and switch a pad to a different menu from any trigger.
Supported devices
Elgato Stream Deck — all models supported by BetterTouchTool's Stream Deck integration, including the Stream Deck + with knobs and touch strip.
AJAZZ, Mirabox and related pads — many of these are the same hardware sold under different brand names. See Supported Devices for the full list and what to do if your pad isn't recognised.
Loupedeck and Razer Stream Controller — including the touch keys, both side touch strips, the dials and the round buttons. These devices are discontinued and their own software has dropped support for the Razer versions, so this gives them a second life.
Work Louder keyboards & the Codex Micro — these are supported as keyboards rather than as Floating Menu surfaces: their keys become normal Keyboard Shortcut triggers and the Codex Micro's lighting can be controlled via a predefined action. See Work Louder Keyboard Support.
