Clipboard Manager

BetterTouchTool comes with a nice little clipboard manager. To use it, assign the predefined action "Show Clipboard Manager / Pasteboard History" (or "Show/Hide Clipboard / Pasteboard History" to toggle it) to any trigger in BTT.

Features:​

  • Tracks your clipboard history so you can access everything you copied
  • Previews all kinds of copied files, e.g. PDFs, videos, Office documents, images etc.
  • Shows all the different data types copied to your clipboard in different view modes (e.g. Hex, Raw Text, Rendered...)
  • Keep favorite snippets forever
  • Search through your clipboard history
  • Edit text right inside the clipboard manager
  • Annotate & edit screenshots and other images
    • This makes it a great screenshot tool when you combine it with the standard macOS "Copy picture of selected area to clipboard" shortcut, which you can configure in System Settings => Keyboard => Keyboard Shortcuts => Screenshots (on macOS 12: System Preferences => Keyboard => Shortcuts => Screenshots)
  • Paste or save as a file
  • Comes with a basic set of text transformation functions (e.g. plain text)
  • Since version 3.356 you can define custom JavaScript transformer functions to transform the text before pasting it.
  • Stays on your computer. No data is synced to any cloud.
